Free Parquet File Viewer Online
Open a .parquet file, search its rows and inspect its schema. Edit supported values or export a filtered CSV or JSON view without uploading file contents.
Local viewing and editing use bounded pages for supported file layouts. Files opened in this local viewer stay in your browser unless you choose an upload tool. CSV/JSON exports require a fully decoded table; paged views download Parquet.
- Choose one Parquet file
- Inspect rows and column types
- Download a copy or export a decoded view
Upload up to 5 GiB for SQL filters, sorting and summaries across the full file. Local viewing above keeps file contents in your browser.

Explore the data
Search and sort the complete decoded table, with paged rendering.
Inspect the schema
See column names, types, and compression details.
Edit or export
Save supported flat values as Parquet, or export the filtered view.
Choose the right Parquet tool
Use this viewer to inspect local files, with paged access for larger supported layouts. To change values and save a new Parquet file, see the Parquet file editor for supported editing and saving limits. For files up to 5 GiB, the large Parquet file viewer reads a bounded preview and can filter the full source during CSV export.
What is a Parquet file?
Apache Parquet is a binary, column-oriented file format used in analytics and data processing workflows. It stores typed columns efficiently, but that means a text editor or ordinary spreadsheet cannot show it directly.
This online Parquet reader decodes the file locally and gives you a practical table plus schema details. If you need a portable text copy, use the dedicated Parquet to CSV converter. If you need a file to test with, open or download the sample Parquet file.
Plain answers
Parquet viewer questions
How do I open a Parquet file?+
Choose or drop a .parquet file. The viewer reads it locally and uses bounded pages when the complete table cannot fit in memory. Editing depends on the file schema and page layout. No installation or account is needed.
Is this Parquet reader private?+
Local viewing and conversion do not upload your selected file. The separate Analyze with SQL workflow uploads it directly to private server storage; filenames, SQL, columns, and cell values are not recorded in operational telemetry.
What is the file-size limit?+
Local input supports files up to 5 GiB. Larger supported flat files use paged viewing and editing instead of loading the complete table into memory. Schema, compression, metadata and individual page limits still apply; not every file layout can be edited. The separate Analyze with SQL workflow provides source-wide analysis.
Can I filter and sort Parquet rows?+
Search, column filters and sorting apply when the table is fully decoded. Large-file paged editing retains physical source row positions and saves the full Parquet table in document order. CSV and JSON view exports require a fully decoded table; use SQL for source-wide analysis of a paged file.
Can I convert Parquet to CSV?+
Yes. Open the file, optionally filter or sort it, then choose CSV under Export view. For larger files, use the dedicated Parquet to CSV converter.
Which compression formats can the viewer read?+
The fully decoded viewer supports uncompressed, Snappy, Gzip, Brotli, LZ4, LZ4 Raw, and Zstandard files. Bounded paged editing supports uncompressed and Snappy flat primitive columns, subject to page and schema limits.
